About This Station

This web site is run on a voluntary basis, Weather Live is updated every minute. The weather station equipment used is Davis Vantage Pro2 (cabled) and is situated 2.5km from Wood Street at Estuary Drive. The station comprises of an anemometer, rain bucket, Thermo/hydro transmitter, Solar and UV sensors situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible.

Mangawhai Heads Weather is free for everyone to use, this means that the expense of running mangawhaiweather.co.nz, including equipment costs (PC, weather station, router, webcam), maintenance, utilities, domain registration, website hosting services, and the high speed internet connection, comes entirely out of my pocket. Operating the weather station is a hobby and I enjoy doing it; maintaining the web site and making it available to the general public on the Internet is something extra I do because I see a need for it. If you would like to help, you can do so by making a monetary contribution to help defray some of these expenses; any amount, no matter how small, is helpful and greatly appreciated. Rest assured that any contribution you make will only be used in the support of mangawhaiweather.co.nz. mangawhaiweather.co.nz is not a registered non-profit organization, so your contribution could be considered a tax-deductable donation, as far as I know. You can use PayPal to make a credit card contribution via the link below. Many thanks.
